Access Statement

Introduction

Our B&B is in a peaceful courtyard setting and offers 7 en-suite rooms. The following statement is a summary of our provision. If you have any specific questions please feel free to call us and we will endeavor to help.

Pre-Arrival

- We are located on a hill which is accessed via our private driveway. Our location is peaceful and fairly remote and is not suited to those travelling without a car.

- The nearest shops are 1 mile away in Newent, as is the nearest bus stop.

- The main railway station is Gloucester which is approximately 9 miles away by car.

- We are unable to accommodate pets.

Arrival and Car Park Facilities

- Please advise us of your anticipated arrival time so that we can be sure we are here to welcome you.

- To ensure your accommodation is ready, we ask that guests do not normally arrive before 2.00pm. Earlier arrival may however be possible by arrangement.

- Check out is 10am.

- There are no marked parking bays but there is ample room for all cars.

- We can assist guests with luggage.

- There is 1 extra space very close to the B&B area which can be used for unloading or if required by someone with limited mobility.

Public Areas

- Public areas for guests and the public can be found approximately 50yds from your room in the Clubhouse.

- Access from your room is up a short sloping tarmacced drive and then down 5 steps which are 21.5cm with a handrail or down a gravelled ramp.

- There is a small step into the Clubhouse through the main door which is 76.2cm wide.

- Alternatively there is a rear entrance approached by a paved area where there is a step up which is approximately 20cm high through double doors.

Lounge/Bar and Dining Room

- Guests and the public are welcome to use the lounge and bar during opening hours.

- The lounge has 2 sofas and straight backed chairs.

- The lounge is carpeted.

- A selection of local information and magazines are available in the lounge.

- Breakfast is served in the dining room.

- The dining room is carpeted.

- We are licensed for the sale of alcohol.

Bedrooms

- You will be given your room key on arrival.

- There are en suite facilities in all rooms consisting of a shower, WC and wash basin.

- Tea and coffee facilities are provided.

- We also provide a hairdryer.

- Our beds are made with synthetic duvets and pillows.

- Each room has either a wardrobe or hanging space.

- Each room has a dressing table and bed side table with drawers.

- We have one travel cot and high chair.

- Each room has an information notice in case of fire or emergency.

Bedrooms

- There are 7 en suite bedrooms with private entrance to each.

- Each room has a television with remote control.

- The door to your room is 29 inches wide.

Bedroom 1 - This room has a 4ft 6in double bed with access from both sides. There is a 6 inch

Bedroom 2 - This room has two 3ft single beds with access from both sides.

Bedroom 3 - This room has two 3ft single beds with access from both sides. There is a 6 inch step into the room.

Bedroom 4 - This room has two 3ft single beds. There is a 6 inch step into the room.

Bedroom 5 - This room has two 3ft single beds. There is a 6 inch step into the room.

Bedroom 6 - This room has one 3ft single bed with access from both sides. There is a 6 inch step into the room.

Family room - There is a 6 inch step into the room. Entrance is into a private lounge with sofa, easy chair, divan bed, fold-up bed if required, coffee tables and television with remote control. The bedroom is accessed through a doorway 27 inches wide which has two 3ft single beds.

En suites

- All doors into en suites are 27 inches

- All doors into en suites are inward opening.

- Each shower cubicle has a step of 12 inches into it.

- All floors are non-slip.

Gardens

- We have a small paved courtyard garden with flower beds which is available for residents to use. There is a bench or table/chairs.

Additional Information

- There are fire extinguishers in the courtyard and Clubhouse.

- All rooms have smoke alarms. Please advise us if you have a hearing impairment and might not hear this.

- We do not permit smoking in any of the rooms or Clubhouse but you may smoke outside.

- Vegetarians can be catered for.

- We are happy to refrigerate any medication.

- Mobile phone reception is generally good.
