Newent Golf Club and Lodges

- GOLF 10/05/2020 – We are very pleased to say the golf course will be open from Wednesday the 13th of May but please read the following:
- SORRY BUT WE DO NOT ACCEPT COMPLETE BEGINNERS. WE WOULD RECOMMEND GOING TO A DRIVING RANGE AND HAVING SOME LESSONS BEFORE PLAYING ON A COURSE.
- You cannot just turn up and play, all tee times MUST be booked in advance so please call 01531 820478 with your preferred day/time and how many people will be playing, you can play with members of your own household, on your own or with 1 person from a different household but keep 2 metres distance. Tee times can be booked by phone now.
- For the first week we will only be booking tee times for 9 holes. Tee times will be spaced 15 minutes apart, please don’t be late, please also don’t be early as we do not want too many people around the clubhouse, if you are early please stay in your car. If you are late for your tee time, you may not be able to play. If your plans change please let us know as soon as possible.
- Cups in holes are raised so when your ball hits the cup that’s in, please don’t touch the flags. Rakes have been removed from bunkers, please smooth the sand with your club or foot after play, lift and place local rule applies to being in bunkers. Benches and ball washers are out of use.
- Only 1 person allowed into the payment area/toilets at any time. There is a screen up over the payment hatch, cash or card payment on arrival, 9 holes is £9. If you tee off between 1pm and 3pm 9 holes is £8.
- We will be serving takeaway drinks but no food. The clubhouse seating and outside seating will not be in use.
- After your round please leave as soon as possible so there are no groups of people. You must have your own set of clubs, hire clubs will not be available. Hire trolleys will be available and sanitised before and after use.
